2001 - 2006 at the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal, Germany
2003 - 2004 at the University of Granda, Spain
Diploma thesis: Statement of selected problems when translating a tourism web site, exemplified by the official tourism site for Granada City/Spain

I work:
since 2007 as technical writer and translator. I am writing operating manuals and I translate them into Englisch (for the European Market). My subject areas are for example top slewing tower cranes and weighing technology.

I use the following tools:
- GFT: xml editing and content management system
- SCHEMA ST4: xml editing and content management system
- CAT-Tool SDL TRADOS, Across
- Corel Draw, Corel Photo Paint, Adobe Photoshop
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access...)
- Macromedia Dreamweaver MX

I attach great importance to:
good writing style, coherent language, detailed research to produce a faithful and accurate translation of specific scientific topics, using an adequate and consistent terminology

I maintain my foreign language skills:
by reading foreign books, newspapers and through other foreign media, spending my vacations abroad, keeping in touch with native speakers.

I speak fluently:
German, English, Spanish and little French.

I spend my time with:
reading, travelling, cooking, Yoga and music

I am:
aware of the fact that it is considered as extremely bad style to start every sentence with "I".
